Statement of Purpose
The church believes that each child is a child of God and should have every opportunity to develop physically, intellectually, emotionally and spiritually to their fullest potential.
A childcare program is one way for the church to live out the message of God’s love expressed through Jesus Christ.
The church is called to ministry, caring for children, showing concern for families, and providing support and nurture for its own congregation and for the surrounding community.
Children and parents in the congregation and in the community need the support of this program.
What is Good Shepherd After-School Childcare?
Good Shepherd Childcare program is a Christian-based licensed with trained staff for 5-10 years old, full-time students. Good Shepherd Childcare follows the USD 264 school calendar and operates from 3:00 p.m.-5:45 p.m. on school days & 7:15 a.m.-5:45 p.m. on school days out. We are open year-round, except weekends and major holidays.
Enrollment fee: (non-refundable) $50/year.
Fees: Full-time After-school Childcare is $50/week. (School Days out are $25/day.)
Fees: Part-time After-school Childcare is $45/week, for up to 3 school days. (School Days out are $40/day.)
*Payment of fees will be expected even if days are missed.
Daily Activities Include:
- Supervised walk/transportation to the church
- Healthy snack
- Devotional
- Joys and concern sharing
- Recreation
- Homework time
- Craft projects
- Occasional field trips
